Abstract

This article seeks to increase efficiency in the production area in a clothing company dedicated to the manufacture of industrial safety products. This will reduce unproductive times caused by a poor layout in the work area and by long tool change times in the clothing area. Also, reduce defective products due to differences in work methods. Based on the above, this article requires promoting the use of engineering tools to increase efficiency; therefore, it was proposed to use Standard Work, Single Minute Exchange of Die (SMED) and SLP and, with this, provide a focus on sustainability and Industry 4.0. This allows companies to increase their efficiency. In the development of the proposal, the work areas were redesigned considering the spaces and distances. Then, internal activities were reduced to external ones in the preparation time of the machines, this was done with the Smed tool. This proposed solution will enable companies in the textile sector to increase efficiency.
