Abstract

The use of simulators in education has become necessary tools for the teaching-learning process, in order to generate closeness and real experiences with students. This research seeks to compare the perceptions of university students with and without the use of the Canon Play camera simulator in the General Photography Workshop course at the communications Faculty of a private university in Lima, Peru. Through a survey, we deepened on the use of the Canon Play simulator. It was found that the way the subject is taught influences the learning process of using the camera. In addition, the time spent using the Canon Play simulator, at least according to the data processed, enhances a greater experience in theoretical teaching.
