Abstract

A phoswich configuration consists of LaBr3(Ce) and LaCl 3(Ce) crystals optically coupled and stacked together with a common readout. Each crystal has different decay time response and different light yield which make possible the design of a high efficient gamma radiation and proton endcap detector, as a continuation of the CALIFA barrel.
