Improvement in Delivery Times of a Logistic Operator

Abstract

The logistic problem consists in a delay caused by lack of the sales planning of the logistic services freight transport, which cause failure to meet delivery lead time. For this is realized: I) a collection of not conformities, ii) an innovative proposal based in the implementation of the lean philosophy, trough Just in Time, line balance and Kanban, iii) the results of the initial diagnostic are contrasted with the simulation of the implementation of this proposal with Arena software. The results show a potential of 53% of time process reduction and reduction of 80% in penalties.
