La bioética con una perspectiva filosófica y literaria: una mirada desde Latinoamérica

This essay explores bioethics from a philosophical and literary perspective, with a particular focus on its development and application in Latin America. Bioethics, as an interdisciplinary field, addresses moral dilemmas arising from scientific and technological advancements in life and health. From a philosophical standpoint, the essay examines its theoretical foundations and its adaptation to the social and cultural realities of the region. Literature, on the other hand, provides a humanistic perspective that delves into the emotional and subjective dimensions of these dilemmas. Through examples from Latin American authors such as Gabriel García Márquez, Isabel Allende, and Octavio Paz, the essay illustrates how literary narratives enrich bioethical reflection. Finally, it discusses bioethical challenges in Latin America, such as inequalities in access to healthcare and reproductive rights, proposing an interdisciplinary approach that integrates philosophy and literature for a more contextu-alized and humanistic bioethics.
