Abstract

The present study aims to implement a support application in the follow-up of physical therapy sessions through Kinect 2.0 for patients with shoulder tendinopathy between 18 and 65 years old. The system was divided into two modules, one for the physiotherapist, which facilitates the management of the sessions and attention to the patients, and one for the patient to evaluate the way they perform the exercises programmed by the physiotherapist. The results obtained through the Kinect are sent to the web environment for physiotherapist's analysis. The system was validated with 10 users between 20 and 50 years of which 80% assertiveness was obtained with respect to the successes and failures of the patients based on the average for each repetition. This project seeks, mainly, that physiotherapists provide simultaneous care to patients by optimizing the management and monitoring process, taking better decisions for the upcoming sessions.
