Abstract
The aim of the present research was to evaluate the psychometric properties of the Academic Situations Specific Perceived Self-Efficacy Scale (EAPESA). The sample was 308 adolescents (157 males) of a public high school from Lima-Peru between 13 and 18 years (Myear = 15.22; SDyear = 1.126). The confirmatory factor analysis was performed with the Mplus program through four phases to identify the internal structure, and a linear regression analysis for the evidence of validity in relation to other constructs. The results indicated a unidimensional structure with the elimination of items two, three and nine. In addition, the reliability of the construct and the scores were in the acceptable range, and that the associations found with the positive and negative affect are theoretically coherent. It is concluded that the EAPESA is an instrument that can be used for the purpose of research and description of groups.
