N2 - Today, the leading palm oil production countries have achieved significant extraction efficiencies. However, several Micro and Small Enterprises continue reporting efficiency gaps and hurdles that prevent them from reaching international standards. Within this context, this study proposes a model that combines the 5S philosophy, Work Standardization, Visual Management and Control Automation to increase the efficiency of palm oil production. The results obtained after applying the model reveal a 1.6% reduction in oil losses and a 3.8% reduction in oil produced out of specifications. Likewise, unproductive times were reduced by 30%. As a result, the model was able to increase efficiency by 7% over the current scenario.
