Resumen

The research aimed to evaluate the relationship between anxiety and mindfulness in people with DMT2. The sample consisted of 208 people, 57.7% men and 42.3% women, their ages remained in a range of 18 to 70 years (M = 44, DS = 12.8). To evaluate the variables, the following instruments were used: Anxiety Inventory, Trait - Status (IDARE) and Mindful Awareness Attention Scale (MAAS-5). As a result, a significant inverse correlation was found between the mindfulness variable and the Anxiety-State and Anxiety-Trait variables in people suffering from DMT2. This study highlights the importance of raising the level of mindfulness to neutralize the effects of State-Anxiety and Trait-Anxiety in people with DMT2. It is suggested to design psychological intervention programs, based on the practice of mindfulness, in the treatment of people with DMT2 to reduce their anxiety levels.
