Application of Standardized Work, SLP, 5S and Iot to increase OTIF in a construction materials distribution company

Abstrac—The construction sector is a key pillar for economic growth in Peru, driving demand for infrastructure and real estate projects. However, companies in the sector face serious challenges in supply chain management, especially in the timely and complete delivery of orders, which generates dissatisfaction and sanctions for customers. In this context, this article seeks to optimize order fulfillment through the implementation of tools such as Standardized Work, SLP, 5S, and IoT. Currently, about 94.10% of orders are delivered on time and 95.72% are delivered in full, i.e. an OTIF of 90.08%, resulting in additional costs due to penalties. Through these technologies, the aim is to identify the underlying causes in logistics processes, improve stock management and reduce delivery times. The implementation of these tools will optimize the supply chain, reduce the costs derived from late and incomplete deliveries and guarantee customer satisfaction, thus contributing to the competitiveness and profitability of the company in an ever-expanding sector.
