Resumen

In recent years, the video game industry has seen a notable boom during and after the pandemic period. However, despite the overall growth, the real-time strategy (RTS) category has not reflected this increase. A limiting factor has been identified in the adoption of this type of video games by users: the lack of experience and immersion. To address this gap, it is proposed to make improvements focused on the user experience and their immersion in the game world in the Cosmic Crusade video game. The main idea is to offer immersive gameplay that appeals to both traditional RTS players and new audiences. The objective is to design and implement new functionalities to the RTS video game that maximize the user experience, integrating visual elements and game mechanics that promote immersion and player engagement. This approach is expected to allow users to fully enjoy the RTS experience and increase the popularity and adoption of these video games.
