Resumen
To identify what the formation of urbanism in Latin America consists of, through the narrative review in the Scopus database, search and selection protocols were designed. 31 papers were obtained which, after analysis, allowed the identification of two training groups: learning in the city and learning for the city. The first of them was divided into three subgroups: historiography of the teaching of urban planning, urban-discursive paradigms, and pedagogical applications in faculties. In turn, the second group was divided into four subgroups: history of urban discourse, need for an academic profile, professional training, and pedagogy design.
