Resumen
The objective of this article is to carry out a descriptive and analytical bibliometric study of the scientific research carried out on the application of information and communication technology in teaching, for which a descriptive analysis of the publications carried out until the year 2022 is presented, followed by of an analysis of co-occurrences, another of co-citation and finally a bibliographic coupling analysis that allow identifying the main aspects of discussion and current trends on issues related to the application of information and communication technology in teaching. The research is carried out through the Web of Science (WoS) database. The main contribution of this work, in addition to presenting the current overview of the research carried out to date by countries, journals, authors and institutions, is to have identified three main lines of research: The need to train teachers in technological skills, the importance of adapting technological teaching tools to the environment and finally, the importance of updating teachers to the constant dynamics of modernization of information and communication technology tools.
