N2 - This paper proposes an improvement model to increase the availability of machinery in the main production line of a food company. The model aims to optimize maintenance activities and resource utilization by integrating engineering tools, namely Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED) and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodologies. These techniques have demonstrated favorable results in manufacturing companies and are considered relevant in engineering. The importance of this approach lies in increasing a company's competitiveness by improving process efficiency and gaining a strategic advantage in the marketplace. The article discusses the problem, provides a literature review, presents the proposed model and its phases, and concludes with the expected results. The effectiveness of the model will be evaluated using indicators and a pilot test, the results of which will be published in the future. The proposed model is adaptable and can be modified according to the specific needs of the company over time, serving as a valuable reference for future research in the industrial sector.
