N2 - The 70% of textile companies have problems managing their inventory, which directly affects their profits. The most important factor that causes poor inventory management is disorganization in the warehouses, which leads to a low level of fulfillment of customer orders, inaccurate inventory due to lack of coding, high picking time, and storage cost overruns. For this reason, with the 5S methodology it is expected to have an organized warehouse, allowing the improvement of storage processes, on the other hand, an adequate stock management will allow to have good storage practices where products and shelves are properly classified and coded. In this way, it is expected to control the existing inventories within a finished product warehouse. Therefore, with the use of this methodology and stock management it is expected to increase the level of order fulfillment from 74.8 to 95% and inventory accuracy from 55 to 95% in a textile company dedicated to the manufacture of fabrics.
