Resumen

The aim of this research is to demonstrate that perceived usefulness and perceived usability can positively influence perceived joy, attitude, behavioural intention, and subjective norm when using e-book platforms. To address the proposed hypotheses, Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) was employed. The sample consisted of 363 users. The main results showed that perceived usability and perceived usefulness have a positive relationship with user attitude and joy, and that subjective norm and attitude have a positive relationship with behavioural intention. This study contributes to expanding knowledge about the use of new devices, along with the incorporation of a new variable such as perceived joy in the book sector, specifically e-books, and the research was conducted in an emerging country.
