Resumen
The objective of this study was to evaluate the influence of critical reading on the investigative skills of master’s students. The approach was quantitative from the multiple linear regression model. Two instruments were used: a Critical Thinking Questionnaire (CPC2) and a questionnaire on investigative skills for a sample of 215 master's students of two nationalities. As a result, 39.4% of the changes in investigative skills are due to the increase in age and the development of critical reading. The variables critical reading and age have been significant (Confidence interval at 95%: 0.943; 1.061). In conclusion, it was determined that the greater the development of critical reading, the higher the level of investigative skills. Just as the older the student, the better the levels of research-related skills were evident. Likewise, the nationality variable presents significant differences in the development of all the study variables.
