N2 - Sustainable growth in the telecommunications sector has led to many small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) becoming involved in projects that are often not time and cost effective owing to the lack of a project management model that meets the needs of this type of company. In this article, a project management model is proposed based on the continuous improvement of processes under the lean and agility approach, and a medium enterprise from the sector is considered as a case study. A 50% reduction in the lead time of projects was observed, reprocessing and overtime were eliminated by 70%, while quality was ensured and the probability of project success increased. Thus, the application of this model solves the problem under study.
