N2 - In Peru, the importance of the pharmaceutical and medicine industry lies in the fact that it is one of the most complex industries that has always been questioned due to the high prices of the products and the direct impact it generates on the health of the population, this sector. was affected positively and negatively by the situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, in the first case the demand for medicines increased, especially companies with the largest market share, which generated an increase in their net income of the 13.8% average, however the increase in the exchange rate in recent years has affected pharmaceutical companies and demand because 50% of pharmaceutical products are imported; As a strategy to reduce costs, national laboratories have begun to develop internal manufacturing processes, however, this strategy has not been effective due, among other factors, to shortage problems affecting the supply chain. One of the main needs of this subsector is to have a management model that allows improving the performance of the supply chain in the short term using appropriate management tools; Therefore, the objective of this research is to contribute to the innovation of the supply chain processes of pharmaceutical companies in order to increase their performance through the application of Lean Six Sigma and Digital Transformation methodologies and thus contribute to increase your profitability.
