Resumen
New digital formats reinvent narrative scenarios, such as immersive, playful and interactive dynamics within virtual reality. Thanks to the counter-hegemony of these new narratives, the viewer is involved in providing an experience from a leading role or as a companion to the story. The functioning of the use of VR hardware goes beyond the video game or advertising industry. The cultural agency in this era of hyperconsumption is relevant in this new social environment. The value of stories is found in this experience of the actant (user) in order to transmit a possible reality. That is why this article investigates the role and experience of the spectator in the new narrative scenarios offered by VR stories. From a theoretical and analytical point of view, these are derived from concepts such as the actor-network, game studies and ludonarrative through a qualitative methodology. The research considers that the new immersive and expansive narratives help to visualize social contexts, of transformation and of liberal rationalities that open up to new actantial forms.
