Resumen
This study addresses the challenge of improving delivery times in the textile industry, focusing on a company in Peru with a current on-time delivery rate of 76.92%. The goal is to enhance delivery performance through a data-driven redesign of business processes. We collected data via semi-structured interviews, direct observations, and production records up to 2022. Based on these findings, an integrated model utilizing Single-Minute Exchange of Die (SMED), 5S, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) was developed. The study identified key issues, including machine downtime and process inefficiencies, contributing to delays and implementing the proposed model improved process efficiency and delivery times, confirming the effectiveness of integrating SMED, 5S, and TPM tools.
